New Beginnings

"New beginnings give new hopes," but does it?

Well, this seems to be a fascinating question, because, for some reason, the hype for the New Year has come down drastically, and people have come to an understanding that nothing changes when we enter a New Year, which I pretty much agree with.

But, I am someone who believes in the hype for New Year and gets all the more excited for the New Year, and when people said, it is just another day, even though it made absolute sense to me, my heart couldn't accept that I shouldn't get excited for the New Year.

So, this is what I understood when I reflected on the situation - New Year doesn't bring us new hopes if we are not adding new hopes into our lives. Suppose we are not going to choose to work hard and bring a change to our life. In that case, the New Year will not change our lives magically, and that's probably why we make resolutions every New Year - We consciously choose to make changes to our lives, and only when we put in all the effort, is that going to work.

So, New Beginning is not when the year starts, but when we allow changes in our lives - and I choose to let new hopes enter my life this New Year, are you?
