Day 2: My journey as a quote - writer

"I am a palace of ice

It is okay if you are not my freezer

But, don't be my oven."

This was the first ever quote I wrote and published. The moment I penned it, I loved it so much that I thought that I should definitely post it. But, I was as well skeptical about how people would take it. So much of questions ran on my brain.

Would I be criticised for my writing?

Will I be accepted for what I write?

Will I survive in this writing environment?

Now, when I turn back and see, my life changed for the better ever since I started writing. I was easily able to vent out my emotions and feeling, and people were able to relate with it as well. Later, I started getting requests on certain topics to write about it. I started writing about what I saw, and what others felt. I also wrote about what others would like, and when people actually said that is how they felt like when they were going through something, it felt like I was being relatable, and being a writer, that was what I wanted in my life.

I wanted to sound relatable to people. I wanted to say what they couldn't easily put to words. And, I am really happy now that I took my leap of faith that day. Had I not posted it, I would have never written something. Even if I had written something, I wouldn't have posted it but rather locked it up in a closet. I am glad that my words matter. Along these days, I have developed my writing styles, and my words have got more refined. I am hoping to refine my writing better.

Now, if you have a desire but still are reluctant to take that leap of faith, make sure you don't regret not doing it later in your life. It is good to try and see than never try at all.
